HA! It is all I read, except for the rags I have always read (Wonkette, BWE, etc.) But you know why this is happening, your little friend Twitter is killing blogs. A lot of bloggers have abandoned, yes ABANDONED, their blogs b/c they have found they don't need to even have to write a WHOLE sentence with Twitter, let alone a thought provoking paragraph with a blog. Seriously, I think people in ten years will have the the english language down to about 15 words, haha. No more conversations. That is also why I hate Twitter, now much can you really learn or know about someone in 140 characters?!?!?!? At least with a blog, I can read paragraphs about your rabbit, your mutant carrots, see pics of your Maxim poses, and see how your new business ventures are taking off! I can't get that from most peoples' Twitter accounts.

Regardless if it Twitter's fault, what came first, people stopped reading blogs or bloggers stopped blogging?!?!?!? :)

It is Twitter's fault, and Facebook. I find it difficult to write out a whole blog when I've just released a smidge of a thought on either one of the two. It sucks out all that creative energy.

It's like writing a book. If you talk too much about it with others, you end up not writing it anymore. It's been discussed and now the energy to do it is gone.

So true! Actually, I'm not on Facebook either! If I want to meet or talk with people that I don't already talk to on a regular basis, I'll have my people talk to your people, haha. Otherwise, I know how to get in touch with you if I really wanted to. :) Although, I do admit vicarious Facebook stalking.

Adventures in waiting around

I'm waiting for my next live hit (15 minutes from now). I've been training to go live on the air for the past three days. The first part right after you've got your interview is a bit nerve racking. You've got to put it into your comp, edit down the sound bytes, send your best bytes into the system we use (4 good ones), then write and voice a tease, then write a lead, and of course write your story, and have all the tech stuff (sound levels, etc) good to go before you get on the air. But after all that there's a little down time after the first hour (and so here I am). I'm currently parked out in front of the KSL studios in the truck with my equipment. I took some time a bit earlier to lay down for 5 minutes under a nearby tree on the edge of the parking lot. As I lay under that tree I contemplated just how many homeless people may have been in the exact spot I was actually laying in just then. Hello Again

I've been conspicuosly absent from this site and thought it was high-time you all got an update. This last week's been an incredibly busy one. My series on Polygamy (The Real Big Love) debuted on the Nightside Project . They played it again several times in the morning and pretty much plugged it all day. Some people are talking award-winning. I really enjoyed putting it together, too. I also got to shoot one of my interviewees with an airsoft gun and we had our Nightside one year anniversary since we've officially been on the air. We're marking that celebration with a fun show tonight. We're pretending to pull archived tape of stuff we've done through the decades. I made mine on Who Shot JR. Oh, and one other thing I'm not supposed to mention, but I'll mention to you. They're talking syndication. By the end of the month we'll broadcast the show on our sister stations in Phoenix, Seattle, and (just for you east coasters) WTOP in DC.
