How I Spent My Birthday Vacation

Okay, it wasn't a vacation exactly...actually not at all. I spent it working till nearly 11:30 at night on the show I work on. However, there was cake, good office cake, and pizza and my co-workers also signed a pretty nice b-day card that is now sitting on my desk. A reminder that someone in the world loves me.

My neighbors Lee, Jefe and Chris also took me out to breakfast the next morning. The Original Pancake House. And yes, it was original. I had buckwheat pancakes with bananas and syrup. mmmm.

Oh and for those who don't know, yes B and I are back together and he says he has something for me but I don't get it till this weekend. Although he did give me a real nice kiss...

I also went and got a much needed massage at the Healing Mountain Massage School. Better than UCMT and they are open all the time, not just weekends. Kelly was my therapist, and I must add better than most. She got all the knots.

I also went to Elase Medical Spa and treated myself to lasering off all my inner thigh hair. And it didn't hurt nearly as bad as I thought it would. I mean when you hear they are going to purposely singe the whole root away...you think ouch, this isn't going to be fun. But then I numbed it first and it only felt like a quick little rubber band snapping on my skin.

I have this thing where every year I laser off something different till I'm totally hairless. What? TMI? Don't worry, the head hair will stay where it's at.

Thanks...

btw-B got me zilch! Should I be mad or am I being greedy? Almost broke up again over it.

Greedy to expect a birthday present? On your birthday? From your boyfriend?

Totally greedy.

He swears it's cuz he just couldn't figure out what to get me. He says he'll get me something eventually. Benefit of the doubt or lazy? I can't decide, but I am pretty bugged by it.

well everyone's different but in my brief experience the birthday gift does say something about level of commitment.

sethers probably doesn't even remember that our little "breakup" back in the day was preceded only a couple weeks by my birthday. i'm not sure if what he got me was supposed to be a birthday present since it was the same thing he brought back from his european trip for several other people (chocolate bar). anyway, he probably wasn't trying to send a message but i got it anyway. it was indicative. you = friend

lcd is very, very thoughtful and sweet in the birthday department. i don't think it makes sethers a jerk (hi sethers). it just means he wasn't serious about dating me.

Ya, I know what you are talking bout MJ. Thing is B bought his kid a toy right in front of me this weekend. He then got himself new sheets and a comforter. Me? Still nothing. He says he feels like he already did something cuz a month ago he bought me an air conditioning unit (nice, but way before my birthday).

Nothing says I love you like an air conditioning unit. My ex-bf broke up with me three weeks before my birthday after teasing me about what he should get me. Finally I im'd him and said just because we broke up doesn't me I don't get a present. He ended up sending me something that cost $50 from Amazon. The bf has a wife and kid now but I still have my present. :)

wow, he got you something cool and useful even after you broke up? How'd you let that one slip away? And can I have his phone number so he can tell my bf what should be happening?

He was just a nice guy. The present was a dvd set that I think I watched only once. He wasn't the best present giver... he gave me some lectures on Mark Twain during our dating Christmas. He said he got me them because his mom liked listening to stuff like that. I never listened to them and finally got rid of them.
