Give Blood...Ride a Scooter



I took a ride on my brand new (to me, but slightly used) Milano scooter.

Loved it so much and rode so well I thought I could handle putting a friend on back...turns out that wasn't true

This is after two hours in the emergency room. They had to literally scrub skin and gravel off with a toothbrush.

and the pictures don't even do it justice. You should see it in all it's bloody, burned and bruised horror. I woke up this morning all black and blue, the burns are worse and the one on the left leg now weeps. I also pulled my left calf muscle so I'm also walking with a limp.

i was hoping for some good vicodin or lortab but they just told me to take acouple ibuprofen.

I am appalled that so many in my generation are ready and willing to roll over and be sexually assaulted (and let their children be sexually assaulted), give up their rights to privacy and ignore their rights as stated in the 4th Amendment all in the name of supposed security at airports. Adventures in waiting around

I'm waiting for my next live hit (15 minutes from now). I've been training to go live on the air for the past three days. The first part right after you've got your interview is a bit nerve racking. You've got to put it into your comp, edit down the sound bytes, send your best bytes into the system we use (4 good ones), then write and voice a tease, then write a lead, and of course write your story, and have all the tech stuff (sound levels, etc) good to go before you get on the air. But after all that there's a little down time after the first hour (and so here I am). I'm currently parked out in front of the KSL studios in the truck with my equipment. I took some time a bit earlier to lay down for 5 minutes under a nearby tree on the edge of the parking lot. Hello Again

I've been conspicuosly absent from this site and thought it was high-time you all got an update. This last week's been an incredibly busy one. My series on Polygamy (The Real Big Love) debuted on the Nightside Project . They played it again several times in the morning and pretty much plugged it all day. Some people are talking award-winning. I really enjoyed putting it together, too. I also got to shoot one of my interviewees with an airsoft gun and we had our Nightside one year anniversary since we've officially been on the air. We're marking that celebration with a fun show tonight. We're pretending to pull archived tape of stuff we've done through the decades. I made mine on Who Shot JR. Oh, and one other thing I'm not supposed to mention, but I'll mention to you. They're talking syndication. By the end of the month we'll broadcast the show on our sister stations in Phoenix, Seattle, and (just for you east coasters) WTOP in DC.
