Torture camp

I went on an overnight camping trip with the ward Relief Society up to the bishop's cabin in Midway. It was so fun getting pedicures and doing each other's makeup. But then one of the girls had the brilliant idea we should all wake up at 7 in the morning and do an abs class. Someone thought maybe we should eat first and then workout, so we stuffed ourselves full of pancakes first instead. It seemed like a good idea till we actually started to do the crunches.

that's just evil. Can you move yet?

nope, it's surprisingly hard to find decent housing at an affordable price that isn't half an hour away from work. Salt Lake is growing like crazy and getting more expensive these days. So I continue to look... I have about a week and a half left.

half an hour away from work? i guess slc norms must be less than that, which sounds totally sweet. if i could live half an hour away from work my life would be rockin. ok, let me rephrase that. if i could live half an hour away from work in a place i can afford with good roommates and be in a singles ward, my life would be rockin. of course, i could always move to a different city.

Ohhhh, such bad form!!!! Actually, FYI, abs classes are a waste of time. The abs are very tiny muslces, thus need little to no extra workout. In fact, we ALL have six packs, it's just the little extra padding (some more than others) over the top of it. Doing abs workouts help (eating pancakes, no so much, haha) a little, but actually they can make you look bigger though if you concentrate on them too much b/c they make the fat over them stick out farther. The best type of early morning workout or to minimize excess in that part of the body is pure cardio work and 10-15 minutes tops of a core muscle (abs, lats, lower back) workout. Sorry, the Personal Trainer in me got carried away, ha.

ya, but if you go to 24 hour fitness or golds they're all like "you need to lift weights to be skinny" I just take one look at the people lifting weights and laugh. It's less food, more movement. Always. It's just motivation to do that because food tastes soooo good!
