Attack of the Single American Woman

The leader of Russia's Liberal and Democratic party, a man who idealizes Hitler and believes his country should re-take Alaska, recently said Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice was just a bitter, old, single woman. He actually said she was, "a very cruel, offended woman who lacks men's attention," and that, "Rice needs a company of soldiers. She needs to be taken to barracks where she would be satisfied." According to this man, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, "Complex-prone women are especially dangerous. They are like malicious mothers-in-law, women that evoke hatred and irritation with everyone. Everybody tries to part with such women as soon as possible. A mother-in-law is better than a single and childless political persona, though." I feel sorry for any woman near this man.

Zhirinovsky apparently said those things in response to Rice asking Russian officials to act responsibly in supplying gas to Ukraine. Oh ya, Zhirinovsky, she's scary.

I don't always agree with Condoleeza Rice, nor do I with the Bush Administration in general, but on behalf of all single women everywhere I applaud Rice for being strong and making something of herself against the odds.

holy crap. that dude is beyond jerk. to think of all the times i've called someone a jerkface when i should've been saving up. i hope he hasn't reproduced. i detest the "bitter woman" excuse which is all too often used to deflect any and all responsibility. so what if condi is a little bitter? and sometimes a bush stooge? how bitter are you with your "ukraine doesn't kowtow to us anymore so we will be screwing them" attitude? puhleaze.

sj, hope you are doing swell . . .

Holy Cow! "Z" was sure getting down and dirty with the personal comments wasn't he? That's just wrong, wrong, wrong. I hope no one ever says that about me! Although every once in a while I do feel a tad bitter....but that is way beyond uncalled for!

MLK day seemed to be the time for a whole lot of people to say embarrassing things. Hillary Rodham had a comment about the US Congress being more like a plantation-backed (of course) by Al Sharpton.
