Wanna Be

"It isn't successful, it isn't glamorous, it isn't sexy, it isn't insipid, and it isn't likely to get you laid."-turning into an indie rocker

Into indie? This how-to guide may leave you speechless-and possibly disturbed by the crop of poseurs it may well produce. Then again it never hurts to ween folks away from Brittany Spears.

do people really wanna be a pretend indie rock expert? you'd only have to invest slightly more time to actually hear good music (to this day i have never gotten into sonic youth, but it's true i can't say they aren't good. i really just don't know).

oh if anyone wants a little-known unsigned band to talk up, i can provide one: the curators, from washington DC. :)

Not sure why anyone would pretend to like indie rock, especially when they, apparently, won't score with anyone anyway.

I have actually heard sonic youth, but don't remember if they were good or not. They must not have left too big an impression.

That site is pretty funny. Read how to lie, or any other weird soyouwannas and you could end up a pretend expert on all sorts of things.

PS-I will have to check out the curators.

In the meantime...the Norwegians are coming!

Yep, totally flying blind and did actually try to find "the curators". But you now have named yourselves a name and someday I will be there and you will play me a song and it will be majik.
